VOLUNTEER
If you regularly volunteer at a juvenile facility or have done this type of ministry before, you know that the blessing is reciprocal. Volunteers often receive as much as they give. If this is your first time, do not be nervous. We will give you guidance and supervision. You will have a great time.

PASTOR
If you are a pastor, I would encourage you to come one of the two days with some of your church volunteers. Certainly encourage your people through a notice in the church bulletin or a short announcement from the pulpit. The impact to the local church of having people actively share their faith to those who are in difficult situations such as incarceration is usually a great one exness.

COLLEGE STUDENT
If you are a college student, this is a great opportunity for you to share your faith with someone three to five years younger than you are. Perhaps you overcame some of their same difficulties, or the Lord blessed you with a wonderful home and many opportunities. In either case, college students across America have been very effective in sharing their faith with incarcerated juveniles. We welcome you.

SEMINARIAN
If you are a seminarian, I cannot think of a better way to prepare for church service than by doing what our Lord commanded us in Matthew 25:36. It will add a living dimension to all the theology you have read or heard.

Above all, I want to emphasize that the scriptures tell us to visit those who are sick and who are in prison. Visitation is the key part of our Main Event program. We are coming to establish a relationship, not force a decision for the sake of our statistics.Youth Direct Ministries is not a "hit and run" ministry exness platform.

We are looking for committed volunteers who not only spent most of their time with one young person during the entire event, but also will correspond with them and even visit each month for as long as that child is in the institution.I know first-hand there is no better way to lead a troubled juvenile to the Lord than by building trust and establishing a relationship. Many of these young people are wary of authority figures, so we must spend as much time listening as we talk with them.

Once we receive your completed registration form, we will be contacting you regarding the dates of the required training. This training certifies you for participation in any future Youth Direct Ministries Main Events in Texas or anywhere in the country. The training will be offered several times in the Dallas area in the four weeks preceding the scheduled event. You only have to attend two ninety-minute sessions, which we believe you will find very informative and will adequately prepare you for sharing with youth.
