Chicago Area Coordinator
Youth Direct has had events in Chicago youth facilities for ten consecutive years. In 2009, Jim attended events and assisted in many ways going into five facilities. He offered to help coordinate future events and the ministry jumped at the opportunity to work with him.
After 34 years as a successful teacher in high school and college, he took early retirement to begin a second career as a Chaplain. He is currently an Intern Chaplain at the DuPage Jail and Juvenile Detention Center and St. Charles IYC and Stateville in Joliet.
Jim has considerable education having completed his PHD coursework. He taught at Wheaton College and Marshall University.
A gifted writer, Jim has written over 100 articles for national journals and was a Senior Editor for two magazines.
Jim accepted Christ at the age of 19 and is active in juvenile ministry along with his wife Judy.
He has a passion for reaching lost youth and an obvious enthusiasm.
We look forward to working with Jim on future evangelism events in Chicago.
