Larry joined the staff of Youth Direct in 2002. He represents YDM in the Midwest including Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, Indiana, and Iowa. Larry has been a chaplain at the Lake County Jail in Waukegan and the Walworth County Jail in Wisconsin for thirty years.
While driving down the highway in 1973, God gave Larry a vision of faces behind bars and a strong sense of calling to prison ministry. He has obeyed the Lord for over thirty years. Larry attended a Youth Direct Event in Racine, Wisconsin, then coordinated evangelism at the Chicago Youth Detention Facility in 2002.
He joined the staff of Youth Direct in his words "because I was incarcerated as a youth, I have a strong burden for young people in trouble. I was attracted to Youth Direct because they are highly organized and their level of preparation is very professional. They really design programs that hold the youth's attention".
Larry
is an important staff member with an excellent reputation in Wisconsin and Illinois.
